Local Father Son Enter Chainring Challenge Ride
Wimberley residents Wiley Horton Jr and son Austen Horton will depart Blanco State Park by bicycle for the Texas Chainring Challenge. About 400 riders signed up for this noncompetitive ride coordinated by the Longview Bicycle Club and the Longview News Journal. The route from Blanco to Longview runs June 7 to June 13 over 50 to 100 miles per day with overnight camping and meals provided by local chambers. Riders are urged to enjoy historical sites. Interested Wimberley riders may contact Wiley Horton for weekend options.
