Johnson Building Floodplain Decision Reversed In County Meeting
Hays County Floodplain administrator Alan Walther will file FEMA form 1316 to prevent flood assistance for the building. FEMA verification of Brandes' computer models will lead to a letter canceling the prior destruction directive due July 14. Commissioner Payne notes the second motion denied Johnson a 2.3 foot variance to the floodplain ordinance, framing the outcome as a win win for the county.
