Wimberley votes early on Saturdays for school bond
Voters in the Wimberley Independent School District may cast early ballots Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 4 30 p.m. at the WISD Administration Building through Jan. 18 ahead of the Jan. 22 bond election. The town hall Jan. 12 will discuss the 6.5 million proposal with panelists including the district's financial advisor and superintendent.

Road to Recovery volunteers aid cancer patients in Wimberley
The Wimberley American Cancer Society chapter expanded its Road to Recovery program with 25 volunteers, 22 men and 2 women, who made 82 trips last year to transport patients to Austin or San Antonio for treatments. Volunteers, many cancer survivors, are trained and insured under ACS, and gene rally assist widowed or elderly patients. Call Albert Derr at 847-9344 to learn about volunteering.
