The Wim berley Chamber of Commerce plans a June 2 meeting to adopt a drafted constitution and by laws after months of committee work. Members will read the full draft and vote on the proposals, with the session resembling a constitutional convention.
The May Chamber meeting at the school covered financial reports showing 1965 and 1966 figures, with memberships, donations, and bank balances. Reports on Mill finances, Boy Scouts activities, and a plan to send 7 to 8 scouts to camp were noted, along with area map sales.
June events include Chamber of Commerce meeting at Wimberley School, Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church, Market Day on the Square, VFW Showings, flag day observances, and revival at First Baptist Church. June also brings entertainment at Resorts with shows at the Corral Theater and Ranch venues through late June.
The Womens' Guild of the Chapel in-the-Hills hosts the fifth annual Tasting Fair on Saturday June 18 in Fellowship Hall Wimberley. Seven tables, Bake table and From Soup to Nuts theme Rainbow. Tickets 50 cents, recipes 10 cents each or $1 for all.
The Architecture Department of the University of Texas picked Wimberley for a student design and planning project this semester. Class drawings models and design elements will be shown at Wimberley Galleries this Saturday 2 to 5 p m and Sunday 10 to 12 and 1 to 5 p m.
