Wimberley Stable Runs Seven Thoroughbreds at Little Arkansas Ranch
Wimberley maintains a long standing thoroughbred training stable at Little Arkansas Ranch along the Blanco River. Current yard includes seven horses in various training stages: a filly named Sycamore Creek practicing racing schooling, 22 year olds, three brood mares, and a stud named First Sergeant. Historic note recalls U S Army buyers visiting Wimberley Square with traders like Lewis Hunnicutt Day McCuistion and the late Hayden Hunt.
