The Wimberley Chamber of Commerce will hold a covered dish supper on Thursday April 6 at 7 00 pm in the Wimberley school cafeteria. Alan Hawse of Blanco will speak about a wax figure museum of local and state figures. The March meeting drew a good crowd and praised the Chamber for seven years of Mill sponsorship.
The Wim berley area holds a school board election on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Wimberley School gym with Mrs Ren Dee as election judge. An Easter Egg Hunt for ages 2 through 6th grade follows at 2:00 PM on Chapel-in-the-Hills grounds in three divisions. Sunday features the 21st Sunrise Service at 6:15 AM at Sunrise Roadside Park RR 12 Wim berley led by Reverend J B Young with assistants from local churches.
In Greenacres subdivision a request for service is denied as not feasible without an excess construction charge. The company offers to extend facilities within 120 days after receiving a signed Line Extension Agreement and a one time payment of 605 dollars plus monthly rates.
Community notices list Sunrise breakfast at Rocky River Ranch Camp for Girls sponsored by the Lions Club with proceeds to Lions charities. church services and multiple club meetings span April 5 to May 6 including VFW, WMU, PTA, Bookmobile visits, and the Lions Club dinner. The May 6 events include primary elections and Market Days with a Lions Club auction at Lions Field.
