City raises fees for solid waste collection in La Vernia
La Vernia City Council approved a 1.7 percent CPI based increase in solid waste collection fees taking effect December 1. The new residential rate rises to 12.52 dollars. The council also discussed a potential smoking ordinance for enclosed public areas and scheduled two workshops for October 22 to review smoking and masonry ordinance changes.
