Wilson County commissioners approved private railroad crossing on Old Corpus Christi Road and a plan to extend the Union Pacific line into a 300 acre industrial park. The site, largely rail served, could handle up to 400 railcars to support Eagle Ford oil and gas activity. Construction targeted within five weeks after approvals.

A tall man in a navy hoodie and mask entered through a window around 1 35 am and stole six to seven bottles of hydrocodone valued at about 350 dollars. The thief fled before officers arrived. Tips can be called in to the Floresville Police or Crime Stoppers with rewards possible.
