Teepee Leather Co opens new Floresville plant

The Teepee Leather Co a Floresville leather belt buckle plant led by Chester A Gregory Sr Chester Alan Gregory Jr and Thomas F Moss plans to produce up to 21000 belts monthly with 6000 buckles weekly using German made computer driven machinery. Moss says the plant will hire 90 workers soon and will recycle scrap leather while selling scraps to fertilizer firms.

Eastern Star Installs Officers in La Vernia Chapter Ceremony

La Vernia Chapter No 436 O E S held a closed installation at 8:00 p.m. on June 7 1979 naming Worthy Matron Adeen McNiel le Worthy Patron A L McNeil Sr and a full slate of officers. Installing Officer Betty Rivers and team completed the ritual amid candlelight dinner in Brahan Lodge dining room.
