La Vernia Fire Dept to Sponsor July 4th Celebration
La Vernia plans a July 4 celebration sponsored by the city Volunteer Fire Department with all major proceeds to the fire department. Mayor Ewald Koepp Jr says the Chamber of Commerce previously funded the event but will keep bar and dance profits. The piece mentions Parade Marshal Jud Ashmore, Jubilee Queen Jana Wells, Rodeo Queen Becky Bone, and local festival notes including Stockdale items.
