The 1979 Poth Community Picnic features a bar b que beef and sausage plate with Polish sausage and trimmings. Serving begins at 4 p.m. An evening dance by Crossover runs 8 30 to 12 30. Grounds open at 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Poth Chamber of Commerce with games rides and refreshments. The public is invited.
The La Vernia Elementary School hosts a six week summer library program starting Monday July 11. Hours are 8 30 A M to 4 P M daily. Participants are invited to check out books and keep reading skills active during the break.
