Stockdale trustees adopt budget and hire two coaches
Stockdale ISD board adopts an $8.1 million budget for 2012 13 at a June 28 special meeting with five of seven trustees present after a public hearing with no comments. The plan raises payroll, fuel, and utilities and allows a 2 percent raise for administrators and at will staff. The tax rate is set as a guide at 1.34 per 100, to be revisited in August. District projects state revenue per student at 6 080 for 2012 13. The board also hires a head girls basketball coach and an assistant girls coach after reconvening from executive session.

Stockdale Sees Rise in Sales Tax Revenue
Stockdale's income from sales tax is rising as part of a regional effect in Eagle Ford counties. The Stockdale City Council held two meetings in the last week of June to review the 2012-13 budget after a June 25 workshop. City Manager Banks Akin said the city will gain from higher sales tax receipts and its 18 percent share of the revenue.
