La Vernia ISD approves one time 5 percent stipend
The La Vernia ISD board approved a onetime 5 percent stipend for staff employed on or before Aug 15 who remain through that date. Superintendent Tom Harvey said about 695,257 dollars would be drawn from the district fund balance to cover the payments amid funding uncertainty and a tight job market.
