Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeves Blood Drive in San Antonio
The South Texas Blood and Tissue Center sponsors its fourth annual Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeves Blood Drive and Marrow Registration on August 31 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Central Park Mall and South Park Mall. The event aims to ease Labor Day week blood shortages, educate donors, and promote National Marrow Donor Program signup. Donors receive a commemorative Tshirt, refreshments, cholesterol test, mini physical, and other benefits.

Hospice volunteer training offered by Guadalupe Valley

A blood drive is set for Sunday August 27 at Christ United Methodist Church in memory of Bennie Lou Hilbert. Donors aged 17 to 72 weighing at least 110 pounds in good health may donate from noon to 3 pm.
