Trail leads deputies to burglary suspects in LaVernia case
County Investigator Calvin Pundt traced a trail from a May 21 LaVernia burglary to a nearby home where Charlen Ann Caldwell was seen near footprints with her three dogs. Arrests followed for Heather Kauffeld, James Edward Gaspard, and Randy Carl Kirkwood on burglary and related charges. Officers recovered about $2,800 in stolen items.
