Havana Autoists Without Gasoline
In Havana more than 40 thousand automobiles were forced into retirement as retailers raised gasoline prices from 47 cents to 1.00 and sometimes 1.20 per gallon. After talks between Dr. Montalvo and Miguel Gaston the West Indies Oil Company said it has 400,000 gallons due by ship on September 18 and ten days of supply on hand.
