Hearing on Grade Separation Set for July 15
Wilmette officials and the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce report a hearing on the Chamber petition seeking grade separation of railroads over village rights of way will continue before the Illinois Commerce Commission on July 15. A large new sign on the roof of the Skokie Motor company at 435 Main Street will guide aviators approaching Wilmette from the north with a nine foot Wilmette lettering. A second sign will direct traffic from the south. A 35 foot north pointing arrow is also painted. The Wilmette post of the American region supplied paint and labor.
