Mrs Grignon reported aiding a lightly clad man who resembled Lawrence Devol, an escaped bank robber from the St Peter state hospital break. He said he rode from St Paul, aimed for Oklahoma then Kentucky, and left when advised to go to police. Wilmette police notified Chicago police.
