Village Board Adopts Levy Law At Regular Meeting
The Vil lage board met Tuesday night with M. J. Sporrer presiding. The levy ordinance and tax anticipation warrants were approved. A Board of Local Improvements was authorized with current members to serve. Chamber of Commerce and Citizens Safety and Traffic Commission correspondence discussed. Ridge road and Wilmette Avenue paving contracts were awarded to Mid-West Construction and Rockroad Construction of Chicago for bids of $17 118.15 and $3 496.25, pending state highway approval.

In the May 28 Wilmette Life a correction states the defendant in a Wilmette police court speeder case was John W. Pearson of 2009 Thornwood Avenue not Arthur G. Pearson. Pearson says he was ticketed on Ridge Road at a speed within the posted limit. Arthur G. Pearson had no connection.

Plan Symphony Concerts to Be Held at New Trier
Tentative arrangements propose two series of eight matinees and eight evening concerts in the New Trier High school auditorium by the Illinois Symphony Orchestra.
