Hope for Recovery of Child Struck by Train
Peggy Petersen ten years old of 1518 Spencer avenue was struck by the North Shore Line train No. 514 at Central avenue crossing in Wilmette Monday morning around eight. She lies in Evanston hospital with severe head injuries though the attending doctor Dr. Frederick Christopher holds out hope. The police report says she was roller skating east on the north sidewalk when the crossing gates were down.

May 1 Deadline for 1933 Village Licenses Warned

Water Works Injunction Suit Referred to Master
Shawnee Country Club filed an injunction to halt Wilmette’s new water works. Judge William V. Brothers referred the case to Master in Chancery Julian H. Miner. Miner will be away for a week. upon return, notices will be served for evidence. The club acts as complainant and will present first.
