Village Treasurer Taken to Milwaukee Sanatorium
Village Treasurer Harry W. Miller was taken to the Sacred Heart sanitarium in Milwaukee on Tuesday. Chief of Police Henry Brautigam transported Mr. Miller by car for a rest and recovery.

Illuminated Stop Signs Planned on Main Crossings
Village board at adjourned meeting directs Manager Osborn to illuminate nine stop signs at Main Street intersections with Lake Central and Wilmette avenues. Cost per sign about thirteen dollars. six signs serve north south traffic on Main and three face westbound routes. Increased traffic follows completion of new through highway parallel to the Chicago and North Western railway.

Arrangements are under way for the annual joint Rotary meeting of New Trier township Wilmette Winnetka and Glencoe to be held Thursday May 4 at New Trier High School. Village seeks more funds for Wilmette water works
The Reconstruction Finance Corporation agreed to buy $200000 in Wilmette water revenue bonds to aid the new water works at Lake Avenue. The board also reported 845 resident hours and 1046 nonresident hours worked last week, and will issue residency buttons to applicants to ease hiring. The Shawnee Country Club injunction suit over the plant remains pending, with a hearing likely postponed from April 18.

Training Course for Wilmette Girl Scout Leaders
A general training course for all interested in Girl Scouting, especially mothers and troop committee members, will be offered in Wilmette under Miss Lillie Mae Humphries. It starts Monday April 24 and runs eight Mondays from 1 30 to 3 30 pm at the Girl Scout room, Wilmette Parish Methodist church with no fee.
