Citizens are invited to a nonpartisan candidate meeting Monday April 10 at 8 PM in the Howard school auditorium. Wilmette League of Women Voters will host to present all sides before the April 18 village election with speakers representing Village Party Harmony and independent candidates. The slate includes Carbon P. Dobbs for Village President Harry W. Miller for Village Treasurer trustees Carl J. Zipprich Edward C. Hildreth James B. Hoffman Arthur Lee Clinton B. Cochran Walter C. Kenilworth voters go to the polls Saturday noon to 7 pm at Kenilworth Memorial Gymnasium on Abbotsford Road to elect two members of the Joseph Sears school board. Incumbents Mrs. Leon T. Ellis and Harry J. Williams face two independents John K. Byrne and Charles Gudbrandsen in a race prompted by the term expirations of Mrs. Wilds and Weese.

Insurgents Battle Wilmette Park District Election

Tax collection totals revised for township districts
A correction fixes a prior misstatement of taxes collected. The township shows 1 427 207 dollars collected in real and personal taxes, about 36 percent of due, with 511 939 44 as the sum sum. First installment realty payments reached 55 percent and second installment 20 percent. Large disbursements totaling over 1 100 000 dollars have been paid to Winnetka Wilmette Kenilworth Glencoe park and district entities and various boards and districts including New Trier Township High School the state and the county.

Kenilworth Elects Two Park Board Members
Kenilworth voters chose John F. White of 270 Oxford Road and Herbert J. Prussing of 549 Earl Street to join the park board on Tuesday. Each candidate won 200 votes with no opposition. White takes a six year term replacing Joseph Joyce whose term ends this spring. Prussing fills the vacancy created by the resignation and death of Edward F Hamm whose term had two years remaining.
