Forger in Jail Involved in signature forgery case in Minot
A man who gave the name Joe Kallin was arrested last week in Minot and brought back to face a charge of forging a check signature. He cashed a $57 check believed issued by Martin Kamiski of Montana, associated with Valley County Bank at Glasgow. The forged name fooled Glasgow, and Kallin later used Jones’s name to identify himself, then cashed another check. He waived examination and was bound over to the district court under $1500 bond.

Largest wheat load ever hauled to Wegley elevator
Ray Field drove in the heaviest single load to the Wegley elevator on Monday. He brought macaroni wheat from Joe Brown's farm weighing 8520 pounds or over four and a quarter tons. The 63 pound per bushel wheat was the best of the year.

Young Hunter Is Missing in Marmon County
The 14 year old son of Frank Smith, employed by C. B. Hayes, vanished while hunting Sunday near the Marmon farm east of Clerk of Court Brown’s place. A search party and family tracked the area along a creek and sloughs, but no trace has been found as of Monday afternoon.
