Bulls Free to the Farmers in Northwest Distribution
James J. Hill plans a four week giveaway of nearly fifty Shorthorn and eight Ayreshire bulls to North Dakota farmers. The Great Northern railroad will distribute the animals across the northwest, with about eighteen funds allocated. Each farmer must milk ten to fifteen cows to qualify, and the bulls are valued at around 6000 each.
