Prairie Fire Ravages East of Williston Causing Heavy Loss
A prairie fire driven by strong winds swept 20 miles east of Williston on Monday. Farms lost barns and hay, with one man named Aiey badly burned after his shack and barn burned. Firefighters from Williston aided but could not halt the blaze. The grass had been heavy and much feed was burned.

A young man in Epping identified as J. C. Tobey shot himself in a hotel room with a .32 caliber revolver. He survived, and doctors worked to save him.
