Peter Coyne of Banks post office died Sunday at two AM after a sudden blood vessel burst while being treated for typhoid fever. He had been improving but woke from sleep and screamed before death. He was seventeen, lived with his mother on a nearby claim, with a brother and two sisters visiting. The body was shipped to Minnesota for burial.
Former U S senator H I Hansbrough will visit Williston on November 2 and deliver an address at the Gates Opera House on current political issues. He is described as well posted and expected to attract attention of local audiences.

Grand Forks, Oct 24 B. S. Held known as Bennie died after a freight train accident on the Rugby branch of the Great Northern. He was a caboose passenger who seems to have fallen from the car while the crew switched ahead, later found beside the track and died in Rugby hospital at 10 30 p m. He was 29, a son of the late Mrs H W Nunn, born in Aberdeen S C, raised in Grand Forks, a plumber and steamfitter by trade with Williston as his head quarters. The funeral will be held at F L Dixons in the Security block after the body was brought to town on No 9.

Mrs. M. P. Tatem, Williams County superintendent of schools, was elected first vice president of the North Dakota Educational association at the Bis marck meeting. She also joins the Pupils' Reading Circle Board to succeed Supt. A. B. Wallace and is remembered as having been chosen president of the Northwest Educational association at Minot last April. Her statewide influence and four years of service in Williams County are noted as she continues to earn general satisfaction.
The Walker lecture course opens Monday evening October 31 with Robert Meikle, eminent baritone, supported by a concert company of high standing. Frank Lloyd, a singing comedian, Nannie Strachan a Scottish border soprano, and Nellie Malcolm a solo pianist join the bill. A great treat for Williston residents is promised.
