Andrew H Burke North Dakota’s Second Governor Biography
Andrew H Burke born May 15 1850 in New York City. He lost both parents early and grew up on a farm in Indiana. He served as drummer boy in Civil War regiments, worked in newspaper business, moved to Cass County North Dakota, served as county treasurer, and was elected governor in 1891. He later resided in Kansas City.
