Fontanet Indiana reeled as seven Dupont powder mills exploded at 9 15 this morning destroying most of the town. An estimated 25 to 50 dead and more than 700 injured, with 500 residents left wounded and camping under tents as soldiers guard the area.

Large Boat Hauling Again on the Missouri River

Capt Brunt, veteran river skipper, takes charge of grain shipping on the Missouri. He arrives in the city this week and reports a boat loading in Nelson country expected to reach town today. The vessel uses a large gasoline engine and will haul as much grain as the O K boat used last year.
