Camp Dodge Expansion Aims at Artillery Training
The site will host a four mile by one mile practice range for heavy artillery and light field guns with observers guiding fire. 400 additional buildings, mostly barracks, are planned. Units assigned include Iowa based 339th Field Artillery and 250th Infantry with districtwide postings across Minnesota North Dakota Illinois and Washington/Hennepin counties.
