City Council Re convenes at Williston September 17 1908
Regular adjourned meeting of Williston city council reconvened in the council room on Monday evening September 17 1908. Mayor Wegely presided. Aldermen Baldwin IsDue Hayes Brownell Van Dyke La Due and others attended. Minutes from September 4 10 and 11 read and approved. Bills for supplies including James B Clow & Son Electric Appliance Co Massillon Iron and Steel Co and others were allowed. City attorney appointment to be confirmed and water main improvements discussed. The election of E M Atterberry to Alderman 2nd ward was canvassed with Atterberry winning 17 votes to 26 for Thomas Shea. Ordinance No 48 the annual appropriation bill was introduced read and carried on second reading. Meeting adjourned to September 24 1908.

The Long Greens lost 5 to 4 to the Old Timers on Sunday in a seven inning contest. Trailing 3–0 after six, the Greens rallied in the second with four runs, highlighted by W.
