Child Wanders Prairie Night Found Cold and Safe
The two year old boy from Rutland township wandered from home Tuesday evening and was missing until morning when a neighbor heard a faint squealing on the prairie. The child was found exhausted and cold but carried home and put to bed. Neighbors conducted a frenzied search, fearing potential lasting harm from exposure. Bold Robbery on Dickinson Special Train
Fargo North Dakota September 30. Thomas J Hughes of Bramarck ran the Dickinson special train and found about 285 dollars missing from his coat pocket after collecting fares at way stations. Daring hold up reported between Valley City and Soo depot
Valley City North Dakota September 30 A daring holdup occurred between here and the Soo depot at North Valley City. Gadenz Fried nephew of Anton Fried of Wimbledon was robbed of 40 dollars after a heavy blow to the head. He was taken to Ulm's drug store and then to Dr Arthur Peake's hospital with skull fractures. Fried is resting easily and will need surgery to relieve brain pressure. His home is Fountain City.

Prairie Fire Near Linton Threatens Range. Firefighters Halt Spread
A prairie fire nine miles northwest of Linton on a windy September afternoon burned a strip just over a mile square in grass. About fifty to seventy five men fought the blaze. no structures burned. In Hillsboro Torger T Jahr was injured when runaway team frightened by a near wreck, a deep gash opened at the back of his head but he was not seriously hurt.

John Loukis Captured After Abduction Attempt Near Fargo
John Loukis was arrested in Fargo by Police Sergeant Coleman after attempting to abduct Sophia Severson at the Anson farm. Severson was rescued by Mr. Anson with a rifle. Loukis later appeared at the Jensen residence and was detained on charges of attempted assault with a dangerous weapon.
