Tragic Farm Shooting in Royal Township

Murdered by dynamite plot shielded bridge workers
Jeremiah Lynch a 50 year old foreman for Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company was found dead on a scow near a new bridge at Thirty eighth street and Center avenue Chicago. Police believe he was killed while defending the bridge from dynamiters amid labor troubles. Two suspects fled into a lumber yard after the shooting, with a weapon found later on the scow.
