Rail expansion in Mandan area nears finish after heavy grading
Mandan North Dakota November 22 The arrival of clear weather ends major railroad work on the two lines from Mandan with minor blasting and steam shovel activity remaining. North line grading is nearly complete with three miles of track to lay for bridge material transport while the south line lags due to heavy cuts and will not operate until next fall. The North Dakota Independent Telephone Company has secured right of way for a north branch and is pursuing the south line as well. The two extensions require about 350000 in investment and will add several local exchanges along the route.

Opening Ball Monday Night at New Depot Dedication
