Four carpenters fell fifteen feet from a scaffold during barn construction on Barney Engberg’s farm in New Rockford. Barney Engberg broke an arm and suffered bruises. Harry Walters was knocked by a wagon wheel. Fred Zimmerman Sr and John Walters sustained bruises across their bodies.

Robbery Ends in Fatal Explosion at Puposky Store
In Bemidji Minnesota November 26 a robber known as Jim Smith is dead after a safe was blown at the Puposky Mercantile store and post office. Deputy Sheriff Andrew Johnson was critically injured as a posse of more than 100 armed men hunted for a second bandit. The robbers fled toward Bemidji after stealing a speeder. A. LaQua inspects the crime scene and fires at the fleeing suspects. Continued on page 12.

Baby boy found on Fargo front porch with note
A two weeks old baby boy wrapped in blankets was found on the door porch of M. A. Hildreth in Fargo. A note pinned to the clothing claimed the child’s father is dead and urged the finder to give the child a home. The infant was cared for by the Hildreths until the North Dakota children’s home superintendent arrived and the baby was moved there.
