Tragedy in Great Northern Wreck Near Tunbridge
At 12 25 Sunday morning the Great Northern fast mail No 28 collided with a freight train near Tunbridge injuring five and killing engineer Isaac Wright and fireman William O Leary. Conductor B C Winn and brakeman William Radinbaugh were among the injured. The freight crew had passed Tunbridge and backed up when the crash occurred amid snow and darkness.

Sidney Jackson’s perilous Rocky Mountain ordeal
Sidney Jackson, visiting with his brother Mayor Jackson, served as a National Park guide. A pack horse kicked him in the Rockies, breaking his jaw and lacerating his cheek, leaving him unconscious. He endured below zero temps, recovered enough to snowshoe to safety, then rode sixty miles to Belton before reaching Williston for medical care.

Monday night a burglary at John Shikany's store followed a Saturday Swedlund break-in. Entry was through a back window, a safe tumbler was damaged, about fifteen dollars in cash taken plus twenty in gold and a few cigars. Three boys were detained Tuesday but provided alibis. Further arrests expected.
