Richard McCoy a mason helper long in the city was arrested Wednesday night at the Twisler boarding house by Deputy Sheriff Jarstad and Officer J C Bromberg on grand larceny charges for allegedly lifting about 25 from Henry Houge. Preliminary hearing before Justice Field this morning had hazy testimony and the absence of Houge’s twenty five bones led to McCoy being held to district court under a 50 bond.

Homesteader Bert Meier Wounded While Deer Hunting
Bert Meier, a northwest of the city homesteader, was accidentally shot Tuesday afternoon while deer hunting near Spanish Point. He is at Williston Hospital with a through the right side bullet wound just under the arm, touching the right lung and causing internal bleeding but he is resting and hopeful for recovery. The bullet, a 25 35 Savage, was deflected by brush and the incident occurred as hunters tracked a wounded buck, an accidental shooting in crowded hunting territory.

Annual reception of Young People's Society held at Congregational church
Last Friday evening the Young People's Society held its annual reception at the Congregational church. Forty six members attended along with invited guests as a front hall portion and south room were prepared. A musical and literary program followed with several solos readings and remarks by society members led by Rev Bloom and others.
