Hamlet grain dealer exonerated in Minneapolis case
George Reed of Hamlet, arrested in Minneapolis on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses, was found not to have mishandled funds. He had assigned Hamlet Grain Co proceeds to Farmers Bank of Bay for creditors. The matter was dismissed by Justice Irwin after state attorney Braatelien's motion.

J J Hill Speaks At Williston Visit And Parade
The J J Hill special arrived in Williston Monday at 1 30 pm met by a band and many citizens. After depot greetings Mr Hill was driven to the opera house where President Anderson and Mayor Jackson presented him with the keys of the city before brief talks on agriculture. He urged perseverance and diversification reminding farmers to keep courage and plan for a varied future as the crowd heard his full speech.

The Williams County Sunday School Association finished a multi day meeting at the United Lutheran church with addresses by Mayor Jackson and Rev W A Snow. Sessions covered country district and city topics led by H L Mofflin Rev W Allen and Miss Bessie Baldwin. George Forster spoke on Religious Education in public schools and pledges for state work raised 84 dollars. FP L Watkins of Bismarck as he described the North Dakota Enforcement League modeled after the Anti-Saloon League with stricter aims to curb illicit liquor sales and vice. Resorts Closed In Morning Raid Near Fair Ground
Early Sunday at 3 p m Sheriff Olson and Deputy Sheriffs Stanton and Jard closed two resorts near the fair ground. About twelve inmates and twenty visitors were present as they dispersed in a highly excited frame of mind. A dray load of empties and relics was hauled to town and orders were given to shut up lights out and head back inland.
