Case company to open branch in city for Great Plains sales

August Hanson of Racine Wisconsin representing J I Case lands in the city with Theo Smith and Mrs Donovan to discuss a new 60 by 100 foot one story branch house. The project aims to ship 10 to 50 cars of machinery and autos to White Earth McKenzie county and eastern Montana with stock of repairs and Case implements.

Pompilio Leaves Williston for Chicago Candy Job

Mike Pompilio and his nephew Nick Ablasi depart Williston for Chicago where Mike will work as a candy maker this winter. He plans to return in spring to start a local factory, leaving the Walliston band with one fewer ace and praising Director Gnstad for guiding its rise.

Big Feet Come High Auction Evening At Fellows Hall

A crowded Tuesday evening at Fellows Hall had attendees reveal shoe sizes and pay a corresponding charge. Big feet faced higher fees while women and most men were exempt. The social raised about forty dollars in receipts with net earnings over that amount, benefiting the Congregational church. An excellent musical and literary program complemented the event.

Man Dies After Tank Accident Three Miles South of McGregor

Korspon died Thursday evening after a threshing rig tank wheel crushed his chest while he stood near the machine. He had planned to sail to Norway after the threshing season and was buried at Tioga where his claim was being proved. He had studied at the University of Minnesota and North Dakota, was admitted to the North Dakota bar, and served as U S Commissioner for Williston and Wilhauy County.

Storytelling Hours at Eleven at the Library

The first in a series of Story Tours will be held at eleven. Children who love stories are invited to attend as the library doors open for a dedicated hour before regular hours. Only children may enter for the story telling event.

Mr Schimallen of Fargo representing the Stone Piano company of Fargo and Grand Forks was in Williston on Monday and Tuesday to pursue business. The Stone firm is praised for its forest fair exhibit and strong season sales. Ed Bothun of Boretrainl sold a quarter section near the area to C O Borstad for 3000 dollars. Bothun will winter with his father in Portland North Carolina and seek a new location in spring.

University of North Dakota Professor to Address Rural School Officers

Professor Joseph Kennedy will speak at the court house next Saturday at eleven about rural schools and the role of school officers in improving districts. The event runs forenoon and afternoon with the latter devoted to the corn contest. Pie Billings Sugar factory reports record beet refining and sugar production as Harvest proceeds in the Huntley project and surrounding valleys, with an estimated beet payments near 100 million dollars, a substantial gain.

Rules Governing the Auditorium at Library Session

The library board sets use rules for the Horan auditorium require quiet conduct. Unauthorized disturbance leads to denial of privileges. extra costs cover janitor and lights with fees varying by daytime or charged rentals. Big yield reported for Pete Hendrickson farm

A threshing run gathered 400 bushels of wheat and 300 bushels of oats on thirteen and eleven acres respectively, raised without irrigation. Wheat yielded 2 1 2 bushels per acre and oats over 27 bushels per acre. Mavourneen Todd, D J Todd’s daughter, broke her collar bone while playing at Stony Creek school, received prompt medical help, and is recovering well.
