Father and Son Taken In Death Touches Williston
A promenade of grief follows the deaths of First Lt. Frank Plummer, assistant cashier at Bank of Williston, from pneumonia, and his father G W Plummer from paralysis. Frank, born 1890 in Chester Township, lived in Spring Valley and Williston, married Eileen Barry in 1917, and served as treasurer of the Williston school board. The two were mourned by a community that regarded Frank as a civic and business leader. their funeral services were held and the bodies sent to Lima Springs for burial.
