District Federation Meeting At Crosby
The North Dakota Federation of Womens Clubs third district held its annual Crosby meeting with fifty nine delegates and twenty five visitors in attendance. Mrs E C Carney led reports on club progress and two new clubs forming while Miss Bertha R Palmer and Mrs Larkin Hart spoke on district work. Mrs Carney was elected Vice President. Concerts and readings highlighted sessions and a district song by Mrs A L Burdick was read, with Crosby Williston and other clubs contributing musical numbers.

Fire Destroys Abandoned Boats By River Bank
One night last week about midnight two house boats on the river bank near the Reclamation Pumping station were burned. They were shells built for temporary War Department use during bank revetment. The boats were empty and outside the Reclamation Service enclosure. Hoboes seeking shelter may have started the fire. the Reclamation Service property was not damaged.

Bridge Bill Expected to Pass Next Week in House
In a letter to Missouri River Bridge Co. president R M Calderwood Congress P D Norton reports progress on the pontoon bridge bill for a Missouri River crossing at Williston.
