Prairie fire devastates Dunn County hay land
In Dunn Center North Dakota May 17 a fast moving prairie fire burned about ten miles of hay land. The blaze ruined hundreds of acres and damaged settlers led by Augusta Akers whose farm lay in the path. She lost pigs chicks ducks fence posts straw barn hog house and a haystack. Bill Baker aided in saving the dwelling and coop. Fire started on Guy Morrison farm from a straw stack previously set afire.

Mr Totem will tear down his current building to make room for a two story brick structure to be erected by First National Bank.
