Victory Loan Trip Succeeds in Williston Tour
Saturday morning ten autos carried the Victory Loan party including the official, the High School band, male quartet and four speakers. The journey began in Grenora with a theatre crowd and a Blume address, then to Hanks with small crowd, Wildrose on Main Street lunch, Ray banquet in the opera house, then back to Williston after a long day. Auto trouble slowed progress but the tour spurred enthusiasm and drew many visitors to the Williston banquet and mass meeting.

Washington April 23 One of the first measures to be considered by the new Republican Congress will be a constitutional amendment granting universal suffrage for women subject to the same restrictions as men. Public notice from Williston North Dakota dated April 26 1919 informs landowners that Interior Department approval for the irrigation district contract has been received. The Reclamation Service will turn water into canals around June 1 1920 crops should be planted on irrigable land and land from uncropped patches prepared. 1919 assessment fixed at 1.35 dollars per acre foot of water with extra charges for excess usage. Landowners urged to report irrigation plans to the Reclamation Office and Secretary to enable low cost preparations.
