The High School Art Exhibition opened Tuesday drawing over 2 000 tickets sold. The display features about two hundred repro ductions of masterpieces in architecture sculpture and painting arranged by era and region to show art development from ancient Egypt to modern English and American works. Most pieces are carbon reproductions with some engravings and color works. Prices can be learned at the door and orders filled by staff.

Standard Oil May Spend Fifty Thousand Here Franchising Planned
Standard Oil Co. considering a 350000 plant this summer in Williston. Representatives met with the City Commission Monday to seek a franchise for operations within city limits. A new site south of Wil liston Grocery on First Avenue West is proposed near the Great Northern spur. Second reading of the franchise next Monday will decide future action. The plant would resemble the Minot facility with a large warehouse and tanks for unloading and reloading oils for the surrounding region.

Crews Resume Work on Irrigation Ditch
