Dentist H H Hill of Harvey North Dakota visited Williston last week to evaluate the field. He decided to locate here, renting offices in the Union Block from Dr Smith and planning to move around April tenth. He will reside in a newly built home by Robert Slater.
Friday oral arguments will be heard in Bismarck before the state supreme court over the Burke county creation. Opponents seek a new hearing after defeat, with Geo A Bangs for Burke county and Scott Rex for the challengers.
The remains of Harry Dunlap were found last Sunday near Twelve Mile hill two hundred yards from the old government trail to Nelson. Coroner Thomas was notified and the body moved to his undertaking parlors. Dunlap, once of Williston, was last seen in November 1909 after being jailed, fell ill, and later disappeared. He leaves a wife and two children. his father, Wm. Dunlap, arrived from Springville to arrange the funeral.
The Congre gational Church trustees acquire a 150 by 140 foot corner lot at First Avenue West and Sixth Street for a new central church site. The current church and parsonage will not be sold now, with the Building Committee to meet soon to announce plans for modern, expanded facilities for the growing congregation and Sunday school.
McKenzie County forms the Farm and Floral association to hold annual exhibits, improve seed quality, and diversify crops. Alexander serves as headquarters with officers named Millhouse Gore Foreman and Hurd. The effort aims to modernize farming methods to prevent soil depletion and boost livestock quality.
The bond election saw heavy approval with only three votes against the warrants and eleven against the water works addition. The $63 000 warrant funding drew 208 for and 3 against while the $27 500 water works addition received 187 for and 11 against. The second ward reported the largest turnout.

In New York March 23 Judge Mulqueen raised the bail of Jack Johnson the negro pugilist charged with assault from 1500 to 5000 and committed him to the Tombs prison until bail is posted.
Northern Pacific railway expects to extend the Staples division from Oakes to Forsythe Montana. Engineers have studied a feasible westward route via Edgeley La Moure county to connect with NP main line. The plan would shorten western mileage and reduce cuts on the main line.
