In Geneses North Dakota last Friday night, J Hazzlet a wealthy farmer was jailed for shooting farmer L M Van Buskirk in a butcher shop after a long feud over family matters. Van Buskirk, 35, was killed. Hazzlet, 65, has been charged.

The Northern and Copper County Base Ball Leagues merged Sunday in Duluth to form the Northern Copper County Baseball League. Eight clubs join Winnipeg Grand Forks Fargo Duluth Calumet Houghton Lake Linden and Hancock. Salary limit raised to 1000 from 800.

Crazy Man Tries to Board Flyer at Emerado

Thomas Shore of Emerado lies in Deacon's hospital Grand Forks after an attempt to board the Great Northern flyer at Emerado. He was in town with his half brother who planned a sanity examination. Shore fled toward the depot as the train approached and narrowly escaped a fatal outcome at high speed.
