He outlined recent legislature passed at Bismarck and explained how measures like state banking, terminal elevator, flour mills, state hail insurance, home building and railroad rate bills would benefit citizens. War Saving Stamps Drive Planned in County
C C Rieger, back from Minneapolis, placed in charge of selling War Savings Stamps in the county. He met with Chairman Rogers to outline a countywide campaign to organize clubs, lodges, schools, and families into a War Saving Society. Williston Man Appointed Receiver of Land Office
W W Dickenson of Williston received a Washington wire stating President Wilson appointed him Receiver of the United States Land Office at Williston to fill the vacancy caused by Charles Mansfield's death. Dickenson, well known locally, has run the Dickenson Land Office since 1910 and plans to take over after qualification in about a week. Previously he operated in Portal in land and insurance.

Knights of Columbus Initiate 37 Members in Local Lodge
A class of thirty seven was initiated into the Knights of Columbus at the local lodge last Sunday. The morning service began with a Column High Mass at St. Joseph's Church and sermon by Father Bardon of St. Paul. About 175 attended the afternoon initiation with 75 out-of-town members. A banquet followed in lodge rooms with about 100 members. State Deputy George M. McKenna spoke. A dance at the Armory Monday night, featuring Onstad's six-piece orchestra, drew a packed crowd.
