Flooded With Whiskey and Beer Destruction Clears Sheriff’s Stash
Sheriff Mackenroth and Deputy Dan Jacobson emptied about 100 gallons of whiskey and several barrels of beer from court possession. A small whiskey amount remains for Federal authorities and will be shipped to Fargo. The courthouse is now dry and no liquor arrests have been made since Monday.

Famous 63rd Artillery Stops At Williston
The famous 63rd Field Artillery, honored by France with a French Flag, halted briefly in Williston on their way to Camp Lewis to be mustered out. Two troop trains carried about 31 officers and over 1000 men. locals welcomed them with fruit and sweets as they paraded Main Street.
