Bids for the Ford Trenton irrigation project were opened at ten in the morning at Reclamation headquarters. Three bids were submitted by John S. Penson for the pumping station on 3333 dollars, Penson and D F King for the upper canal division A at 18937 75 dollars, and James Burton & Son for the pressure pipe section at 1328 50 dollars. No bids were received for the lower canal or its small ditches. The upper canal will irrigate about 5000 acres, while the uncatered lower canal would have irrigated 7000 acres.
