Fargo Bond Case Decision Is Filed
The North Dakota Supreme Court issued its opinion on the Fargo bond case, a lengthy ruling of nineteen pages. It stresses two points: city bond resolutions must clearly state the total bonds to be issued and the election notice must reflect that amount. otherwise the election is not fairly presented to voters. Paragraph 15 disallows an election and notices that list multiple purposes separately, ruling that the stated purposes must be clearly authorized and that a majority vote does not empower issuance for those cited ends.

School Board Lets Contract For Building Plumbing
The board of education opened bids for plumbing heating and ventilating of a new school. Four bids were received but two failed to include certified checks. Fargo Heating & Plumbing Co and R Kleinsorge were deemed compliant. Wreck of Great Northern Flyer Lands Dozens Injured
The east bound Great Northern flyer plunged fifteen feet down an embankment three miles from Tioga this morning. About twenty people were injured including two Williston children and Mrs Harman and her two kids. Fireman M S Rite from Devils Lake was seriously hurt after he was caught by the engine. The wreck involved the engine mail and baggage car smoker day coach and tourist sleeper. No fatalities reported. Doctors from the city were sent to the scene.

Former banker released from federal prison in Leavenworth
J A Erickson once president of the Minot National bank was paroled from the federal penitentiary at Leavenworth Kansas after serving a five year term for making false returns to the comptroller of the currency. He will visit Albert Lee Minnesota then proceed to Minot to aid G W Swords, receiver, in winding up the bank’s affairs.

Death Ends a Pitiful Life in Devils Lake
Fremont Weaver who stole two sacks of flour to feed his family and was pardoned ten days earlier died in Devils Lake hospital. His crime followed by illness and the death of two children, his wife’s illness, and his own tuberculosis led to a sorrowful end noted by North Dakota officials.

Eclipse Draws Crowds as Sun Dims in Williston
Hundreds of Williston residents saw a partial eclipse last Thursday evening lasting about an hour after six. Emil Daellenbach and Lena Kern wed June 16 in Glidden Wisconsin at four o’clock in the Lutheran church with a reception at the bride’s home. The couple will reside in Williston in the Mormon addition. Daellenbach is a book-keeper at Rawson Hardware.

Heroic Northern Boy Dies Saving Friend in Pond
Tower City North Dakota June 21 Harold Griffin 19 a Tower City High graduate died in a vain rescue attempt for Leslie Nelson 12. Both boys swam in a pond created by widening Bald Hill creek at Dazey Nelson cramps and Griffin dived in to help but both perished Griffin son of G H Griffin and Nelson son of O H Nelson county commissioner of Barnes county were staying at Griffin sister Mrs Osborne home. Griffin's body recovered at 3 pm yesterday Nelson's at 9 30 this forenoon.
