Sentences Handed Down in Local Court Terms
Saturday morning the court sentenced convicted defendants across several crimes. W D Kell received ten years for rape in the first degree and Manual Olson ten years plus a $100 fine. Alfred Peterson two years for grand larceny. Will T Poe ten years for forgery and embezzlement. Jack Jackson $50 fine and $100 costs for receiving stolen property. Step Davis $100 fine and $200 costs for maintaining a gambling place. J W Chapman 90 days and $200 fine for running a blind pig. Phillip Shaw eight months in county jail and $200 fine for pigging, with possible extra time. J B Reiley 90 days and $200 fine. Patrick Armstrong brought to Ward county for trial. Armstrong bond set at $2500. Judge Goss cleaned up the calendar with Judge Goss noted in the city yesterday.

Great Northern Hotel acquired as school board votes

Poe Pleads Guilty and Receives Ten Year Sentence
